Department of Federal Programs / Title I
The North Bolivar Consolidated School District's Office of Federal Programs provides district-wide support for students and teachers. The funds obtained through federal programs ensure that children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high -quality education. These supplemental resources support children in K through 12th grade, professional development and innovative evidence based instructional strategies and practices. In addition, services are provided to district personnel, administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, students, parents and the community.
On these pages, we hope to keep stakeholders up to date on our latest educational initiatives, provide links that will assist parents and community members in understanding the initiatives and provide ways that families can support or encourage students at home.

Title I: Improve the Academic Achievement of Disadvantage Students
This program provides financial assistance through State educational agencies (SEAs) to local educational agencies (LEAs) and public schools with high numbers or percentages of disadvantaged children to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards.

Title II: Supporting Effective Instruction
This program provides financial assistance to recruit, hire and retain highly qualified teachers and principals; to provide research-based, high-quality professional development activities; and to provide a reduction in classroom size as applicable to improving teaching and learning.

Title IV, Part A- Student Support & Academic Enrichment Grants
This program provides all students with an access to a well-rounded education. 20% for well-rounded education, 20% for safe and healthy students, 60% for technology and other areas.
Title V: Rural Education Achievement Program
This program provides financial assistance for teacher professional development, educational technology and software to improve teaching and learning, Parental involvement activities, and improving basic programs designed under Title I.

Title I 1003(a): School Improvement Grant
This program provides financial assistance for district-level activities to support implementation of comprehensive or targeted support and improvement plans. A school that is identified for comprehensive or targeted support and improvement must implement at least one evidence-based intervention as part of its improvement plan.
