Purpose and Goal:
The purpose of the North Bolivar Consolidated School District, Department of Special Education is to provide effective educational programs to students with disabilities, ages 3-21, who are in need of special education and other services necessary to enable them to benefit from instruction as provided for in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and state law. The Special Education Department is responsible for identifying, evaluating, determining eligibility, and the individualized educational programming for children that meet the qualifying criteria of a disability as outlined by the Mississippi Department of Education.
